Adam Mostow was born in April of 1980 and grew up surrounded by the arts. His grandmother was a painter, sculptor, and a stained glass artist. Her work spanned from private collectors to three story high synagogues throughout Southern California.
His interest in the arts developed and became more serious as he majored in sculpture at his local university. There, he focused on glass blowing and metal working. He gained his techniques spending long hours in the hot shop studying under Joe Cariati. Adam was awarded scholarships to the Pilchick Glass School and the Corning Museum of Glass where he had privileged to learn glass sculpting from William Morris and lamp working skills from Cesare Toffolo and Emilio Santini.
In 2021 he was awarded a residency at the Toledo Museum of Glass. There he worked on a series of glass blown sculptures into metal forms, along with glass castings into the shapes of large gems.
His time at Pilchuck and his love for the Pacific Northwest inspired his move to the state of Washington with his wife and newly born twins. Currently, Adam has built out his shop on his property where he is working on architectural metal commissions, custom sculptures, and luxury furniture pieces. Focusing on design and functionality, along with combining the different materials he spent many years learning, Adam strives to make one of a kind objects for people to enjoy.
