Dialect Gallery Opening Presents Silica Candy

February 12th, 2010

Featuring collaborative works from Adam Mostow and Julio Sanchez

February 11-March 6th

Julio Ceasar Chavez and Adam Mostow coming from two completely different paths, met one day at the boardwalk of Venice Beach. This sparked the emergence of two humble hearts integrating their surreal and vibrant dreams into reality. The traditional Huichol beadwork from Mexico dating back thousands of years, combined with futuristic glass sculpture creates an unseen fusion that is candy to the eye.

The piece “El Portal Del Venado” marks a new period in the timeline of art. Consisting of intricate geometry and the spontaneity of nature’s creatures and colors, forms a landscape for the imagination to wander. The glass sculpted deer is the vision guide and a symbol of intuition. This is the center piece of the painting  and center piece of our inspiration.
